Absolute beachfront, large modern home, perfect for family holidays. Our guests love it .."Thanks very much for a wonderful long weekend at your house. We all had such a great time. It is right on the seashore, just an easy drive down the sand from the barge, or a short stroll along the waterfront from the passenger ferry. Our house is a big open house, with large spacious living areas and a great kitchen. It is a beautiful place to relax in, with the family friendly beach at the doorstep, and gorgeous views across to the mainland if you want to chill out on one of the decks and just watch the action on the water and the beach. Most days you will see a pod of dolphins swimming past at some time in the day, and also on most days will meet a family of kookaburras coming to say g'day on the balcony railings. Almost all of our guests say they'd love to return, and indeed, the majority of our guests these days are returnees. This property (Coign 5) is located in the Coign estate, on the beachfront at the northern end ofTangalooma. Coign 5 is a whole house available for guests. There is a locked store room which is for owners only. All guests staying at our house are able to access all Resort facilities, though many are fee based, such as snorkelling, scuba, parasailing, etc. All guests are able to go and view the wild dolphins being fed at the jetty every evening. A magical experience. During the whale migration season (late Autumn to early spring) guests can also book onto the Resort's Whale Watch tour, on one of their big passenger boats, and are taken out past Moreton Island to view the whales migrating up and down the coast. This tour includes provision of lunch. Fees last year were $75 per person. Guests are given the code to the front door when they make a firm (URL HIDDEN) We also have a contractor on the island who looks after the house for us, and can assist guests if necessary. Our house is located within the area of Tangalooma Resort, where wild dolphins come to be fed every night. Our house is one of only 8 private houses on the beachfront, with the majority of accommodation at the Resort being villa/townhouse style accommodation, or motel style. There are other privately owned houses on the hills behind the Resort. The Resort is privately owned and only checked-in guests or private guests of house owners are able to visit, stay in and use any of the Resort facilities. To get to Tangalooma you will either need your own 4x4 vehicle, and come across on the Micat vehicle barge, or you can travel without a vehicle, as a passenger on the Resort's passenger ferry. We have had some guests fly over on a helicopter, landing on the Resort's own helipad, or fly in on a small airplane to a grass airstrip to the north of the Resort. If guests choose to book and fly in on a small plane then we need to make arrangements to have them picked up and transported from the airstrip. All the Resort amenities are within walking distance of the house, and guests can also book onto island tours and activities that are conducted by the Resort. While Covid19 is an ongoing factor in our lives we must notify guests that we will be observing a strict cancellation policy.
